Permitted Testing Aids
When you report to the Victoria Police Entrance Examination exam centre, you must bring your:
- printed out Admission Ticket
- current photo-bearing identification document
- blue or black ballpoint pens.
Depending on the exam centre, candidates may be permitted to bring a bottle of drinking water into the session with them.
There will be clocks in the exam room. Candidates may wear an analogue wristwatch, but any alarm or stopwatch features must be switched off. Digital and smart watches must not be worn on the body and must not be accessed during the exam.
Valuables such as wallets, keys and mobile phones may be placed under the desk during the exam. Mobile phones must be switched off and placed face up under the desk. Mobile phones must not be worn on the body and must not be accessed during the exam.
Candidates are advised to bring only essential items, as neither the exam centre nor the ACER Victoria Police Office can be held responsible for the security of candidates' personal belongings. There will be only limited space to store bags, and candidates will not be allowed to access their bags until the end of the exam.
Note: All other items, including but not limited to calculators, pagers, stopwatches, audio or recording devices of any kind, MP3 players, digital watches, Apple watches, note paper, pencil cases, rulers, coloured pens/pencils and highlighters, are prohibited and their use will be considered an act of misconduct.
Access to food (including sweets and nuts), earplugs, medication or other medical equipment (e.g. support cushion) during the exam will only be permitted due to a medical condition and can only be allowed if candidates have been granted special testing accommodations.
Large spaces like exam centres can be difficult to heat/cool. To avoid being too cold or too hot, it is recommended that candidates wear layers of clothing, which will allow them to regulate their own comfort level.
