Victoria Police entrance examination results
ACER provides all results to applicants and Victoria Police within 7 business days of the exam. ACER will advise you by email when you can access your results from the ACER Portal. You will be required to download a copy of your results to your own computer as access to the portal will be available for a limited time.
You will receive a score for each of the eight (8) test components.
To be selected to progress to the next stage of the Victoria Police recruitment process, you must obtain a score at or above the pass marks listed for each section in the table.

*These assessments are scored against the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
Your scores will be presented as ‘scale scores’ rather than as a percentage. The benchmark score will be presented on your results certificate, and you must score higher than the minimum score in order to progress.
If you are successful, you will receive a Standard met result.
Congratulations! You will be contacted by Victoria Police Recruiting within 7 business days about your next step. In the meantime, visit the Victoria Police website for more information on the recruitment process.
Unsuccessful results
If you are unsuccessful, you will receive a Standard not met result. You will then be permitted to have a re-sit attempt.
Scores for the literacy, numeracy and digital literacy components are mapped against the Australian Core Skills Framework, which is the Australian Standard for literacy, numeracy and digital literacy.
If you fail any components on your first attempt, it is your responsibility to book yourself into re-sit the failed components. There is no waiting period. You may re-sit the failed components at the next available booking.
All re-sits must be booked and sat within two (2) months from the date of your first attempt. If you fail any components of your re-sit attempt, Victoria Police will also email you to advise the status of your application.
Victoria Police Entrance Examination results are valid for a period of five (5) years from the date that you passed all components of the test. This means that if you do not complete your recruitment with Victoria Police and decide to reapply again within 5 years, you may be permitted to skip the entrance exam and use your existing results.
If it is decided that you demonstrated misconduct during your exam, ACER may withhold your results.
Requests for re-marking will only be considered for the following components of the exam, and with associated costs that include GST:
To apply for a re-mark, you must email your request to ACER within 10 business days of receiving your results. ACER will provide instructions on the appeals process.
Re-marks for other exam components will not be considered. ACER and Victoria Police will not enter into appeals against results for the following exam sections:
Please note: You are only eligible to apply for an appeal after your second attempt.
Should you wish to query a particular question on the day of the exam, you should alert the supervisor to your concern and submit an incident report before you leave the test centre. Your query will be reviewed by the ACER Victoria Police Office and you will be notified of the outcome.
Similarly, any complaints relating to the test centre or physical discomfort suffered should be reported to the supervisor on the day, and in writing to the ACER Victoria Police Office within 3 days of the exam session.
It is not possible to receive special consideration for impaired performance on the day of the exam caused by illness or other unexpected personal situations.
