If you are applying to Victoria Police for a role as either a police officer or a protective services officer, you are required to sit the Victoria Police entrance examination.

Online testing information for the VPOL exam

ACER also provides venue-based testing in Camberwell, Melbourne on one weekend each month.

This may suit you if you prefer a face-to-face, supervised assessment. It may also suit you if you do not have the equipment or stable internet needed for home-based testing. Camberwell dates will be displayed in the ACER portal at the time of your booking.

Venue-based testing

After you have successfully applied to Victoria Police recruiting, you will receive an invitation to sit the entrance exam.

This invitation will include important timelines for booking and completing your exam with ACER.

You will also receive an ‘Applicant ID number’, which you will need when registering in the ACER Victoria Police entrance examination portal. It is important you match your details exactly.

The fee to sit the Victoria Police entrance examination is $275 (incl. GST). The fee for completing the exam is paid directly to ACER at the time of booking.
